April 15th, 2008Tampa, Fl, April 11. 2008: A new professional organization for wireless IP network providers was announced in Tampa Florida today by the organization’s public relations department. AWIN, or the Association of Wireless IP Network operators, was formed to provide a communications and technology sharing platform for providers of wireless VoIP and broadband networks. The association will provide meetings, conferences and an interactive web site for members actively planning or deploying wireless advanced technology networks.
The association’s membership is expected to be primarily wISPs and cellular operators involved in deploying new IP based telecommunications technologies to rural and urban areas. Numerous projects of this sort are already underway in coverage areas surrounding the central and eastern High-Technology corridors in the state of Florida. The associations first public meeting and forum, scheduled in central Florida for the summer of 2008, is expected to draw a number of interested southeastern US carriers and providers to hear speakers from the wireless industry and attend a number of specific focus, planning and deployment seminar sessions.
